A lot has happened in Boston College sports since the last time we convened at the WZBC studios for the Soaring to Glow Show. That was two weeks ago, and in that amount of time, the Eagles lost a nailbiter to Florida State and defeated Syracuse, the basketball team did okay in Puerto Rico, and men’s hockey looks like it is about to fall off the map.
It’s almost so much sports that it would be impossible to jam it all into one hour. Yet, that is what we intend to do because we supposedly have lives.
Soaring to Glory Show, December 3, 2014: ‘Cuse Juiced
Kyle, who got his Doug Flutie bobblehead, and I will discuss the Eagles’ relatively easy win over the Syracuse Orange on Saturday to move the football team to 7-5 on the season. If it were not for the fight in the first half, it might have been one of the most boring games of the year, but it counts in the win column.
The item about which more people will be concerned now is where Boston College will land for their bowl game. We discuss where the Eagles are likely to go and how the ACC title game between Florida State and Georgia Tech could impact the pool of teams.
Soaring to Glory Show, December 3, 2014: Fragile Basketball Optimism
Kyle will be elated to discuss the basketball team improving to 3-3 on the year after beating Marist on Monday night. Yet, they performed respectably (for the most part) in the Puerto Rico Tip-Off and, though there are still signs that the old Eagles are lurking, Boston College hoops has at least kept their head above water.
What is the long-term prognosis for this team?

Soaring to Glory Show, December 3, 2014: Hockey Hell?
Meanwhile, Boston College hockey is sinking like a rock in the national rankings and the PairWise. The possibility of the Eagles missing the NCAA Tournament is looming larger by the game. Is this destined to be a down year?
