Boston College SEC Football Schedule-A-Team: Missouri Tigers

All-Time History With Boston College: None
Last Faced: Not applicable

Travel (if necessary): What, maybe three hours by plane? Obviously not driveable.

Mutual Interest Factor: Big goose egg on that one.

Intrigue Factor: I got nothin’.

The Verdict: Can’t say I wouldn’t be open to it, but would not go out of my way.

While I would not go out of my way to schedule this series, what a surprise: neither would Mizzou. Kind of makes it nice and tidy.

These two schools have precious little in common and operate in different spheres of influence in the college football world. Geographically, Mizzou is still a Big 12 school, and that’s not going to change unless the SEC devours all else. Which could actually happen.

Boston College SEC Football Schedule-A-Team: South Carolina Gamecocks

All-Time History With Boston College: None
Last Faced: Not applicable

Travel (if necessary): About however long it takes to get to Clemson, which means it’s doable.

Mutual Interest Factor: In basketball, there has been some, but that’s hoops.

Intrigue Factor: Don’t tell me it wouldn’t be kind of awesome to play the Head Ball Coach.

The Verdict: Open to it. Not gonna happen, but open to it home or away.

The Gamecocks are close to several schools Boston College already plays as it is buried within the ACC/SEC mutual aggression non-neutral zone state of South Cackalack.

Even though most SEC schools are a big fat “not gonna happen” in terms of future scheduling, this one is at least more plausible as Boston College has scheduled them in other sports in recent years and they are basically in ACC territory. The problem is that it does not make a lot of sense for South Carolina to give us the time of day.
