Boston College SEC Football Schedule-A-Team: Florida Gators
All-Time History With Boston College: 2 games (1-1-0)
Last Faced: 1939 (Florida wins, 7-0)
Travel (if necessary): Can’t be more than a three-hour flight to Gainesville.
Mutual Interest Factor: Maybe a little, considering Steve Addazio used to coach there and all. Not terribly surprised nothing seems to be in the works but perhaps eventually.
Intrigue Factor: It would be a fun place for the Eagles to play, if that’s where they went.
The Verdict: Would schedule home or away.
Boston College has never made a trip to the Swamp, and we may yet wait a while on that one. The Addazio factor does not seem to be much of an influence so far.
This might actually have some utility for Boston College as they are starting to recruit Florida a little more heavily. The Eagles already play two of the three big teams in the state (one annually, the other every now and then); playing Florida as well could only help. Not sure how much Florida would have to gain from it, though.

Boston College SEC Football Schedule-A-Team: Georgia Bulldogs
All-Time History With Boston College: 4 games (2-2-0)
Last Faced: 2001 Music City Bowl (BC wins, 20-16)
Travel (if necessary): What, two hours down to Georgia? Probably a very similar trip as to Clemson.
Mutual Interest Factor: Somewhere down here. Look lower. Lower. See the floor. That’s it.
Intrigue Factor: Georgia’s got a big name, and the two have met each other in a few bowls. Maybe that counts for something.
The Verdict: Would schedule home or away.
Mark Richt has not lost control of his schedule. That’s probably why Boston College does not appear on it.
Consider that Georgia’s schedule has a guaranteed game every season against Georgia Tech, leaving at most three non-conference games annually to fill. In the near future, those are to be filled with the likes of Nicholls State and Samford. It’s not going to happen.
