Boston College Big Ten Football Schedule-A-Team: Michigan Wolverines
All-Time History With Boston College: 4 games (0-4-0)
Last Faced: 1996 (Michigan wins, 20-14)
Travel (if necessary): Could not be more than two hours by plane to Michigan.
Mutual Interest Factor: Depends if Brad Bates ends up there.
Intrigue Factor: Depends if Brad Bates ends up there.
The Verdict: Depends if Brad Bates ends up there. But yes, would schedule home or away, if any mutual interest was ever established.
The tradition and the history of Michigan do hold some appeal, and it has been almost two decades since Boston College got to play in the Big House. It’s a long time coming, if it ever happens again. It probably will, but not in the foreseeable future.
Not that I necessarily think Brad Bates is going to go back to Michigan, that they are interested, or that he is interested, but as a Michigan alumnus, I’m sure the thought has crossed his mind of Boston College playing his alma mater. The Wolverines have bigger fish to fry right now, such as replacing their athletic director, but until such time as that happens, putting together a non-conference schedule is not going to be much of a priority.
