Boston College Big Ten Football Schedule-A-Team: Michigan State Spartans

All-Time History With Boston College: 6 games (4-1-1)
Last Faced: 2007 Champs Sports Bowl (BC wins, 24-21)

Travel (if necessary): About the same as to Ann Arbor.

Mutual Interest Factor: The two programs schedule one another in hockey, so they are at least on radars in general, but the last non-bowl they played against each other was in 1995.

Intrigue Factor: A bit. Maybe it’s some hockey carry-over, but the Eagles and Spartans facing one another is not a bad fit, and the programs have history.

The Verdict: Would schedule home or away.

Michigan State would be an interesting team to schedule in football. It would be outside the norm, as the Eagles have played them once in the last 20 years, but because Sparty runs a good program, it would have to be an intriguing matchup.

This is something I could see happening in the relatively near future, maybe 10 years or so out. I base that on nothing but a gut feeling, but again, the two schools are not averse to scheduling one another in some sports, so football would be a nice addition.
