Boston College Big 12 Football Schedule-A-Team: Kansas State Wildcats
All-Time History With Boston College: 4 games (4-0-0)
Last Faced: 1994 Aloha Bowl (BC wins, 12-7)
Travel (if necessary): Similar in length to Kansas or Iowa State, for reasons that should seem obvious.
Mutual Interest Factor: None lately, and by lately we mean in over 60 years. 1947 was the last time the two teams met in a non-bowl game.
Intrigue Factor: The Wildcats are a good program, which in itself holds a bit of intrigue, but it isn’t like there’s a rivalry here.
The Verdict: Would consider scheduling if there was any interest because of how good they are, but again, probably not likely.
Boston College first played K-State back in 1937 — of course, Bill Snyder was also coaching the Wildcats back then. As a program that never sees them and only watches the Wildcats from afar, it’s hard not to have respect for them and what they have been able to build out there in the middle of nowhere. This is a solid football program.
With that said, other than the Pinstripe Bowl a few years back, they do not come to the Northeast much, nor do they host teams from our region. They have played UMass a couple times, probably because they needed to pad their schedule. Do not count on seeing K-State on the schedule.
