Boston College Big 12 Football Schedule-A-Team: Oklahoma Sooners

All-Time History With Boston College: 2 games (0-2-0)
Last Faced: 1950 (Oklahoma wins, 28-0)

Travel (if necessary): Just like the rest of the Big 12, at least that part of the Big 12, you’re looking at about three or four hours by plane.

Mutual Interest Factor: It has to be about zero.

Intrigue Factor: Intriguing for us; probably not for them.

The Verdict: Would say yes if Oklahoma were ever interested, but fat chance of that.

An interesting fact is that Boston College has never scored a point against the Oklahoma Sooners despite having played them twice — both games were shutouts and blowouts. Would a modern meeting turn out the same way? Probably not, but it is doubtful we will get to find out unless these two teams somehow meet in a bowl.

Boston College might get that idea someday, but Oklahoma seems like they have bigger fish to fry, or they think they do. Yet, they have two games against Army coming up near the end of the decade, some against Ohio State, and they will play Akron and Michigan. It is not like they don’t ever play teams from the Northeast (or even the Midwest), but they have not played an ACC school since Florida State in 2011, and it has been much longer since they played one outside of Florida.

BC and USC scheduled each other, so you never know, but it may be a while before we see the Sooners again.
