Whereas last week it looked like Boston College was on its way to an easy trip to New York City in late December, the Eagles might find themselves in a location more difficult to reach. Such is the case when you play a bad game at home.
With six wins already, the Eagles are going to get a bowl slot, especially considering the Atlantic Coast Conference might not even fill out all of their tie-ins. Yet, they were dealt another blow with Notre Dame’s thumping by Arizona State. The Fighting Irish might now fall into the ACC’s set and knock around the conference’s bowl teams.

Finally, SI’s Zac Ellis keeps hope alive with the Eagles in the Pinstripe Bowl. Again, that one would feature a meeting with Maryland — perhaps that is also a thing that will happen in December.
