There was much to celebrate on Saturday afternoon for the Eagles, who found a way to get their first win at Lane Stadium in their last three tries. Boston College improved to 6-3 on the season, guaranteeing that they will be in a bowl game for the second straight year under head coach Steve Addazio.
It is these members of the coaching staff above who have helped maximize the talent they have on hand and get Boston College back to a certain level of respectability. When one has a Heisman finalist on their team, it can seem easier to get back there (though more than just the man himself deserves credit for Andre Williams’ explosive season), but many did not know what to expect from this 2014 Boston College team.
Indeed, from half to half within games, it can be difficult to figure out what this team is, but at the end of the day, they have won six games while losing only three, and another winning season appears likely. This is a level at which this program should be, as that is where we used to be for many years before the Dark Period™.
