2014 Boston College Football: Virginia Tech Gameday Morning
By Joe Micik
With a total of only four games to go, Virginia Tech gameday means today is Boston College’s first of four attempts to secure bowl eligibility.

A victory today would be an accomplishment for this team, who were written off after losing a handful of starters from last season. All offseason, the Eagles heard that they would “take a step back” and fall short of their objectives. Simply making a bowl game is not the greatest achievement we want this team to have on any given year, but this Virginia Tech game offers Boston College football an opportunity to show everyone that consistency is back on the Heights.
Not for nothing, Virginia Tech needs this game, and after getting socked in the unmentionables by Miami last week, they are most likely going to be quite non-compliant as the Eagles journey towards win number six.
