Week 10 College Football Picks: Pick One
Air Force (-3) at Army
Saturday, 11:30am ET (CBS)
Starting off with the service academies in the earliest game of the day on Saturday. That’s a pretty narrow line for a game between a 5-2 team and a 2-5 team, even though the 2-5 team is at home. As a former local and somewhat regular attendee of Army games, it’s nice for the Black Knights to be nice (except against Boston College), but Air Force is a better team. Both will rush like crazy but Army’s defense is no good at all. Air Force -3
Week 10 College Football Picks: Pick Two
Oklahoma (-16.5) at Iowa State
Saturday, 12pm ET (FS1)
Oklahoma is starting to fade a little, but this is the easiest game they’ve faced in a while, not that any Big 12 road game is easy. The Sooners could well drop 40, if not 50 on the Cyclone defense in what should be a comfortable win. Watch for a possible backdoor cover. Oklahoma -16.5
Week 10 College Football Picks: Pick Three
TCU (-5) at West Virginia
Saturday, 3:30pm ET (ABC)
I hope you like points, because this game should feature no shortage of them. TCU could be in the playoff bracket if they had held on against Baylor, but what’s done is done, and West Virginia is next on their list. This is a dangerous game for the Horned Frogs, and West Virginia is also rising fast. The ‘Eers in a slugfest in Morgantown. WVU +5
Week 10 College Football Picks: Pick Four
Florida vs. Georgia (-13)
Saturday, 3:30pm ET (CBS)
If this truly is the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party, then Florida might choke on the hors d’oeuvres of failure due to their lack of a viable offense. No doubt Eastern Michigan is wondering how they gave up 65 points to this team. Yet, the Gators are coming off of a bye, but Georgia’s defense is smothering. Rivalry games are always more volatile to predict but Florida hasn’t shown us anything to give confidence. They had to make the move to Treon Harris, but a question mark is all he is right now. Georgia -13
Week 10 College Football Picks: Pick Five
Auburn at Mississippi (-2)
Saturday, 7pm ET (ESPN)
After a world-class derp moment at the end of the LSU game, Ole Miss can get right back at it at home by beating Auburn, in what is essentially a playoff game (true, as both are in the playoff bracket as of today). I can offer no justification for this other than my gut telling me that the Rebels get the win at home. Mississippi -2
Week 10 College Football Picks: Pick Six
Notre Dame (-14) at Navy
Saturday, 8pm ET (CBS)
And we end with a service academy. Ordinarily, I would want to pick Navy, but I can’t. They’re just not that impressive of a team, and bet your lunch that Notre Dame feels disrespected by the college football playoff poll. Notre Dame -14
