While Boston College football is in a lull, we have broken down all of the conference games this week. Now, it’s time for the Week 6 ACC picks.

If we’re lucky, they’ll be slightly accurate.

Then again, we pick both straight-up and against the spread, so that might even increase the chances that one of them will be right. Maybe.

Are we on target or off-base? Read on.

Week 6 ACC Picks:
Louisville (-3) at Syracuse

Friday, 7pm ET (ESPN)

Louisville has been decent, Syracuse less so. On paper, it feels like it should be a good-sized win for the Cardinals, but I expect the Orange to show something. Lose, but show something. Louisville | UL -3

Week 6 ACC Picks:
Virginia Tech (-3) at North Carolina

Saturday, 12:30pm ET (ESPN3)

This is a crucial game for both teams in terms of their ACC positioning. UNC looks like they’re in a nosedive, while the Hokies have stopped theirs. Will the Tar Heels turn things around? Not if their defense doesn’t improve, but this still feels like it will be a close-ish game. Virginia Tech | VT -3

Week 6 ACC Picks:
NC State at Clemson (-15)

Saturday, 3:30pm (ESPNU)

NC State is a team whose overall record is deceiving based on the quality of most of their schedule. Clemson’s is also a little deceiving, in that they have played some good teams and lost those games. This is not an unwinnable game for the Wolfpack but the Tigers have had a decent pass defense, which should help them out against Jacoby Brissett. Clemson has recently played well against NC State, but this does not feel like a blowout. Clemson | NCST +15

Week 6 ACC Picks:
Wake Forest at Florida State (-38)

Saturday, 3:30pm (ABC)

This is the ABC mid-afternoon game going up against Alabama-Ole Miss. ABC punted here, and so will Wake Forest. Often. That’s a huge spread but the Deacs will be lucky to get out of single-digit points. Florida State | FSU -38

Week 6 ACC Picks:
Miami at Georgia Tech (-2)

Saturday, 7:30pm (ESPN2)

Lately, I have been picking against Miami and it seems to be working for them. This week, I would be somewhat inclined to go with them, as they have looked a bit better than I expected and Georgia Tech’s run will eventually come to a close. However, the Jackets are coming off of a bye and this is going to be a big divisional home game for them. Georgia Tech | GT -2

Week 6 ACC Picks:
Pittsburgh at Virginia (-5)

Saturday, 7:30pm (ESPN3)

Virginia has done admirably so far this season, while Pittsburgh looks like they’re in a slow and steady decline from the start of the season. It does not help that they’re coming off of their worst game of the season against a lousy team. Expect a better effort from Pitt, but not a victory. Virginia | Pitt +5
