Things turned in a big way following the USC game, and the 3-1 Eagles are looking for their best start in years. Will Boston College continue hurtling at full speed towards bowl eligibility? Not if the Rams, who won a bowl game last season, have anything to say about it.
This will probably be a closer game than most expect.
The Colorado State/Boston College game primer goes something like this:

Colorado State at Boston College Opening Line: Initial Evaluation
The line to open at some Vegas books was 2.5 points in favor of the Eagles, which quickly rose to 4.5. Colorado State is a decent team, and the expectation is for a close game.
This is still one of those games Boston College needs to have. Not just to keep their momentum going — a 4-1 start to the season will already tie the win total some predicted for this team — but it will hurt for the Eagles if they lose what is probably the easiest home game they still have left, relatively speaking.
The schedule is going to get a good bit more difficult in October, and the intent for September was always for Boston College to rack up as many wins as possible. Colorado State is a winnable game, but the Rams are capable of challenging this team in their first-ever game on the Heights.
