“Bad” is a relative term, unless you think Army at Wake Forest is going to be a barnburner.
Picks are straight-up and against-the-spread for your edification.
Week 4 ACC Picks: Saturday Early Games
Georgia Tech at Virginia Tech (-9) | 12pm, ESPN. I don’t see the Hokies losing back-to-back weeks after the letdown they just had. Consider also that I’m not that impressed with Georgia Tech yet. VT | VT -9
Iowa at Pittsburgh (-6.5) | 12pm, ESPNU. Iowa will be a tough test for the Panthers but I’m going ACC here. Pittsburgh | Pitt -6.5
Maryland at Syracuse (PK) | 12:30pm, ESPN3. It pains me to side with them, but the Terps are probably slightly better. Maryland
Tulane at Duke (-17) | 12:30pm, ESPN3. Should be a snooze. Duke | Duke -17
Maine at Boston College | 1pm, ESPN3. See ya tomorrow with the pick.
Week 4 ACC Picks: Saturday Mid-Afternoon Games
Louisville (-27) at FIU | 3:30pm, FS1. The Cardinals probably come back with a vengeance following the Virginia game. Louisville | Louisville -27
Virginia at BYU (-14) | 3:30pm, ESPN. The Cavaliers have looked better than I might have thought and have already given a couple ranked teams runs. BYU | UVA +14
Army (-2.5) at Wake Forest | 3:30pm, ESPN3. The winner will be the team that stinks the least. Army being horrible on the road for the last several years might be the edge. WF | WF +2.5
North Carolina at East Carolina (-2) | 3:30pm, ESPNU. The Carolina team is going to win. I’ll show myself out. UNC | UNC +2
Week 4 ACC Picks: Saturday Night Games
Presbyterian at NC State | 6:00pm, ESPN3. zZzZzZzZzZzZz. NC State
Miami at Nebraska (-7.5) | 8:00pm, ESPN2. Miami is Nebraska’s biggest test yet, but the Huskers are looking too good overall. Nebraska | NEB -7.5
Clemson at Florida State (-16.5) | 8:00pm, ABC. By far the most watchable ACC game this week. No Jameis in the first half could make this game more uncomfortable. FSU | CLEM +16.5
