ACC football Week 1 kinda stunk for the aforementioned conference.

ACC Football Week 1: The Important Thing…
Boston College 30, Massachusetts 7. The Eagles took care of their business on Saturday at Gillette Stadium against the UMass Minutemen.
To be fair, Boston College did play a lousy first half, but after Steve Addazio most likely tore the guys new corn chutes at halftime, they woke up and dominated the second half, save for a multifaceted-defensive-fail touchdown play.
ACC Football Week 1: Other Good News
North Carolina 56, Liberty 29. #23 UNC trailed at one point in this game that most expected to be a snoozefest, but once the Heels arose from their own slumber, like the Eagles, they dropped the hammer and won by almost four touchdowns. This is good news in that it is a ranked team and not bad news.
Florida State 37, Oklahoma State 31. Granted, this could have been better news for the #1 Seminoles and the conference at large, but it was not a loss. Florida State does not look invincible, but they are still quite good, and so is Jameis Winston. Let’s face it, though: last year is a tough act to follow.
