2014 Boston College Football Schedule by Difficulty

9. vs. Colorado State (September 27)

Sure, it could be presumptuous of us to put a 2013 bowl team lower on the list than, say, NC State, but this is a home game against a team in the middle of the road in the Mountain West.

The Mountain West is a fine football conference, and perhaps the finest of what would have been considered the “have-nots” during the BCS era, and Colorado State is similarly a decent football team. Yet again, this is one Boston College will have to have if they intend to play in December.

The Rams had a losing record on the road last season and went 1-2 against the major-conference teams they faced last season; of course, one of them was Alabama in Tuscaloosa and their victory was the bowl game against Washington State, a game which the Cougs literally fumbled away in the closing minutes.

Boston College will probably get a courtesy 3-point spread in this one that looks almost like a toss-up.
