2014 Boston College Football Schedule by Difficulty

10. at Wake Forest (October 25)

It’s a road game, but other than UMass which is taking place in nearby Foxboro, this is the easiest real away game Boston College will have.

The Eagles are going to have to beat teams like Wake Forest if they intend to make a bowl. Meanwhile, the Deacs are starting over with Dave Clawson after Jim Grobe’s tenure ended with a whimper in Winston-Salem. He will have to rebuild a team that has made one bowl since 2009, and he could pull a Steve Addazio and get Wake Forest back in Year One, but we don’t want that at Boston College’s expense, now do we?

Of the road games that truly resemble road games (UMass does not, given how it is significantly closer to Boston College than Amherst), the Eagles will have their best chance of winning here. It could be another rough year for the Deacs but there is a lot of football to be played between now and October 25.
