Boston College Sun Belt Football Schedule-A-Team: Georgia State Panthers
All-Time History With Boston College: None
Last Faced: Not applicable
Travel (if necessary): Same as it would be to play Georgia Tech in their stadium, which admittedly would be a more appealing option.
Mutual Interest Factor: When it exists, I’ll let you know.
Intrigue Factor: Nope.
The Verdict: Would not go out of my way to schedule home or away.
Clemson played Georgia State this weekend, and they were 40.5-point underdogs. Just because the Panthers only lost by 28 does not make this potential matchup any more appealing. They’re down there in Georgia doing their thing, and we’re up here in Massachusetts doing ours. It is what it is.

Boston College Sun Belt Football Schedule-A-Team: Idaho Vandals
All-Time History With Boston College: 1 game (1-0-0)
Last Faced: 1940 (BC wins, 60-0)
Travel (if necessary): Probably at least five hours by plane.
Mutual Interest Factor: I’m going to guess none, seeing as they have not played one another in over 70 years.
Intrigue Factor: If any at all.
The Verdict: Would probably not schedule.
Idaho … in the Sun Belt. (Dr. Evil voice) Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.
If Boston College is going to someday in the distant future go out to the Pacific Northwest to play a football team, make it worth our while — a team like Oregon, Washington, or Boise State. Likewise, Idaho has little reason to come that far across the country and get their fannies kicked. This would not be worth Idaho’s time or ours.
