Boston College Big Ten Football Schedule-A-Team: Indiana Hoosiers
All-Time History With Boston College: 1 game (1-0-0)
Last Faced: 1938 (BC wins, 14-0)
Travel (if necessary): Oh, about two hours by plane. It’s like going to Notre Dame, except not.
Mutual Interest Factor: The last mutual interest between these two schools apparently predates the Bill Flynn era at Boston College.
Intrigue Factor: Perhaps in basketball.
The Verdict: Would be open to scheduling home or away.
If you remember the last time these two programs played one another, you probably have a lot of candles to blow out on your birthday cake by now. Kudos.
We have seen the Hoosiers in recent years through basketball’s ACC-Big Ten Challenge, which is probably about as close as we are going to get in regards to seeing them. Now, they are scheduled to play UConn and UMass by the end of the decade, with one of them in East Hartford, so it’s not as though they would not travel out here. The opportunity evidently just has never presented itself.
Bottom line, it has to be virtually impossible for these two schools to harbor any ill will towards one another.
Their football team doesn’t wear the striped pants that make their athletes look like they’re wearing candy cane pajamas, which may be a plus if fashion is your thing.
