Boston College Big Ten Football Schedule-A-Team: Wisconsin Badgers
All-Time History With Boston College: None
Last Faced: Not applicable
Travel (if necessary): A few hours by plane out to Madison.
Mutual Interest Factor: This one is a lot like Minnesota: we know them way better on the ice than on the grass. In the former, there is a lot of mutual interest, but in the latter, probably little.
Intrigue Factor: Again, any intrigue coming from the matchup would probably have its basis in these two schools playing hockey against each other.
The Verdict: Would schedule home or away.
Almost everything I said about Minnesota in the previous slide could be copied and pasted here with “Wisconsin” inserted. Save for the fact that Wisconsin is the more accomplished football program, from our vantage point, they look quite similar.
Boston College and Wisconsin getting together in football would be fun. It’s the kind of thing that could be paired with hockey in October, like how Boston College and Notre Dame would sometimes do it – the Eagles and Badgers play in the rink at one school on Friday, and on the gridiron at the other on Saturday.
Would Wisconsin (or Boston College) go for that? Anything is possible, and I would endorse it.
