Travel (if necessary): Doable by plane. To get to Tampa from Boston would take just under three hours.
Mutual Interest Factor: There might eventually be a little; probably about the same as what Central Florida’s is, but there has not been any yet.
Intrigue Factor: Not much. If anything, Boston College might be intrigued to go to Tampa to get some sun.
The Verdict: Would schedule but would not go to great lengths.
If the 2007 college football season ended somewhere in mid-October, Boston College might have played USF in the BCS national championship game. That did not happen, and as such, these programs have never met.
Boston College has been recruiting more in Florida lately with Steve Addazio on board, so crazier things have happened, but in the short term, it is unlikely that we will see anything happening on the scheduling end.
