Boston College Football: What Are Options for 2014 Bowl Games?

2014 Bowl Games: Sun Bowl
Where: Sun Bowl Stadium, El Paso, Texas
When: December 27, 2014, 2pm ET
Who: vs. Pac-12 team
Ease of Travel: Difficult. There are no direct flights between Boston and El Paso, and with those connections (most in Houston or Phoenix), one would have to expect at least six or seven hours of travel time, if not more in some cases. By car, it’s not in any way feasible for most people at about 36 hours. Simply put, this trip would be a pain.
Desirability: Low to moderate. The matchup against a Pac-12 team is potentially appealing, as Boston College has enjoyed their only meeting with a team from that conference this season, but the trip greatly diminishes what would otherwise be a decent matchup.
Likelihood of Getting Invited: Low-ish. A more southerly team will probably be selected, but you never know.
Out in the West Texas town of El Paso…chances are Boston College will not be. You never know, and it might be a pretty good game when all is said and done, but most Eagles fans will undoubtedly be watching this one from their couches and not the stands in El Paso.
