2014 Boston College Football Schedule by Difficulty
7. vs. Syracuse (November 29)
The last game of the schedule’s bottom six is also the last of the regular season, the once and current rivalry game against ex-Big East foes Syracuse.
The Orange stuck it to Boston College at the last minute in their game last season at the Carrier Dome, but the teams still look to be fairly even. It is conceivable that both teams might need that final game in order to get into a bowl, though the Eagles are hoping to have it locked up far sooner.
Syracuse is not a bad football team, but again, this presents the opportunity for a winnable game for the Eagles. No doubt the players remember the sting of defeat from last season and are eager to exact payback, but it is budding once again into a rivalry game, and the Orange are not going to roll over. Were this game about to be played, the Eagles would probably be even or slight favorites in this one.
