1. 2014 Boston College Football Away Games: Virginia Tech, Lane Stadium

We all remember the night Lane Stadium went silent. Boston College has not even been reasonably competitive here since, but that does not mean it wouldn’t be the best road experience.

For one thing, there actually kind of is a rivalry between these two schools, though at this point neither would point to the other as its biggest foe. This series has produced some epic battles, and the flames are being stoked again after the Eagles finally got back in the win column against the Hokies last season.

Further, from everything that comes my way from Eagles fans, it is a great trip, despite also not being an easy one. Lane Stadium is set against a backdrop of mountains in remote western Virginia; that would have to make it the most aesthetically pleasing locale. Despite the tough games these programs have had against one another, most Virginia Tech fans are agreeable and hospitable. This one could be a fun football getaway.
