4. 2014 Boston College Football Away Games: North Carolina State, Carter-Finley Stadium
Carter-Finley Stadium in Raleigh is out of the way, in an athletics complex with PNC Arena, home of Wolfpack basketball and the Carolina Hurricanes.
It’s not a bad stadium or a great stadium — it’s just a stadium. To the typical unobservant fan, not much seems memorable about it (though if such a person is unobservant, very little typically is). Red is a nice color, we’ll give them that, but admittedly maroon is better.
As far as the locale itself, Raleigh is close to the heart of the “old” ACC and there are some passionate fans around. There are also apparently at least thirty things to do there. Is it a must-take road trip? Probably not, though when it comes to being amongst the opposing fan base and having to coexist peacefully with them, one can do way worse than NC State.
