Top 5 Boston College Football Freshmen to Watch in 2014

3. Harold Landry, DE

If Boston College chooses to play Landry this year, and they probably should, the coaching staff will be unleashing a very talented player on the Atlantic Coast Conference.

It could be hard for them to resist taking the bubble wrap off of their top recruit for the class. Once he gets onto the field, expect Landry to learn and grow, and add much needed depth to a depleted defensive line.

As for what Landry brings to the table, we broke it down in our player preview several weeks ago:

"One can see why these other teams wanted him as well when they see his high school stats. As a senior defensive end for Pine Forest High, Landry appeared in nine games and amassed 96 tackles with a whopping 17 sacks, and he even threw in a pick for his efforts. During the course of the year, he had five three-sack games, which is impressive to say the least. Not to be outdone, Landry also received for 285 yards and two touchdowns as a tight end."

Even if he only plays here and there, Landry has the tools to make a positive impact for Boston College right now.
