7. Josh Keyes, LB

Keyes was a running back and a safety when he got to Boston College, but now, he’s a linebacker, and that’s just where this team needs him to be.

The Eagles are going to be replacing two starting linebackers this year, both of whom are getting their shot at the NFL now: Kevin Pierre-Louis and Steele Divitto, who happened to be the two top tacklers for Boston College in 2013.

Josh Keyes has every chance at finding himself to be a starter here when the season begins in late August. With limited playing time last year — 11 games but only two starts — he made 30 tackles but also notably totaled 3.5 sacks. Only Pierre-Louis had more amongst Boston College linebackers last season.

If he has a big year, the Eagles are going to find themselves replicating a great deal of the production they lost with the Divitto and KPL departures.
