Top 10 Worst Boston College Basketball Games of the Steve Donahue Era
By Joe Micik
3. February 22, 2014: Miami Defeats Boston College, 69-42
Context: in the previous game Boston College had played, they beat the #1 Syracuse Orange at the Carrier Dome. Rightly so, we named that the best game of the Steve Donahue era.
Ironically, they followed it up with one of the worst.
A few days later, the Eagles would play a sub-mediocre Miami Hurricanes team in Coral Gables and fail to be even competitive, losing by 27. This game was definitive proof that the Syracuse game was a fluke, and a sign that this team couldn’t even build off of their biggest win since this iteration of the team was assembled.
Hopelessness returned as quickly as it left.
