Top 10 Worst Boston College Basketball Games of the Steve Donahue Era

6. March 11, 2011: Clemson Defeats Boston College, 70-47
The day before, the Eagles had taken care of Wake Forest and came into their ACC quarterfinals matchup against Clemson needing a big win to get into the NCAA Tournament.
Boston College stumbled badly out of the gate, trailing 11-0 at the first TV timeout and going down to a 23-point loss that ended their presence on the bubble and planted them firmly into the NIT. Now, in retrospect, the loss is magnified in that the Eagles imploded in the last game of actual postseason consequence that they have played as a program to date. (The NIT games don’t count.) The team has come nowhere near the big dance since, and the Clemson loss ended an era of sorts.
