Top 10 Worst Boston College Basketball Games of the Steve Donahue Era
By Joe Micik
7. November 21, 2011: Massachusetts Defeats Boston College, 82-46
Boston College basketball got another taste of just how irrelevant they had become, not only nationally but in their own state when the new-look Donahue Eagles faced UMass at Conte Forum.
Chaz Williams led the way over the ice-cold Eagles as the Minutemen posted their most lopsided defeat over Boston College ever. This 36-point loss was also the biggest in terms of margin of defeat in Steve Donahue’s four years on the Heights.
Consider that by this point, Boston College had already lost to Holy Cross and was about to lose to Harvard yet again. Sadly, by the end of the Donahue era, the Eagles were still roughly no better than the fourth-best team in Massachusetts.
