1. Does Andre Williams have a legitimate second chance at breaking the rushing record this week?
Yes. Considering how New Mexico State gives up over 300 rushing yards per game and the Eagles offensive line has been playing better and better, all combined with the fact that everyone on the planet knows that Andre will get a bunch of carries, it’s very plausible.
Rushing for round about 265 yards is not easy by any stretch and we should not treat it like it has to happen in order to validate how bad the Aggies’ run defense is, but is it possible, yes. The fact that we’re having this conversation speaks to what a great season he’s having.
One thing that’s for sure is that this time, the staff will be aware of what the record is and won’t sit Andre if he’s two yards short. At least we hope so.
