Here’s the hardest game on BC’s schedule in 2013.

Boston College’s last two games at Clemson were unmitigated disasters: the 2009 “lightning game” was best known for BC’s miserable 54 yards of total offense, whereas 2011 was a more run-of-the-mill rout. BC hasn’t played a decent game here since Matt Ryan was quarterback.

Going into a top-ten team’s opposing stadium and winning in the midst of a major program rebuild is asking a lot of Boston College. A win here would probably reshape the college football landscape, assuming Clemson wasn’t tanking already, but it’s far more likely that the opposite will happen. Very, very tough task for the Eagles.
