October 13, 2012: Florida State beats BC football, 51-7
Given that the Eagles entered this game as more than a two-touchdown underdog, things looked bleak right from the start.
When the Eagles went to Florida State on October 13, the Seminoles laid an even bigger smackdown on them than they had at Alumni Stadium in 2011. This one was a 51-7 ass-kicking.
Boston College was down 31-7 at the half in a game in which they never seemed competitive. The Seminoles totaled a practically-embarrassing 649 yards of offense as EJ Manuel and company moved the football at will. On the game’s first drive, the Eagles took the ball all the way to the FSU 1, but they could not score, and it was all downhill from there.
This game was a disaster for the Eagles on every possible level; offensively and defensively. What’s sad is that it wasn’t even their worst loss this season.
