The 2025 ESPY Awards are here, aka the sports Oscars, aka it's the dog-days of summer and we have to watch something.

Live from the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, the best and brightest in the world of sports will join together and celebrate the achievements of the last year at the 33rd annual awards show.

The best players, best invidiual plays, and best performances of the year will be highlighted, along with the more meaningful awards such as The Arthur Ashe Award for Courage and the Jimmy V Award for Perserverance.

Comedian Shane Gillis is set to host and will push the comedic boundaries, undoubtedly eliciting plenty of laughs and almost certainly a few awkward moments to boot. Though I doubt he can top the awkwardness that ensued following Norm MacDonald's O.J. Simpson joke at the 1998 ESPYs.
