Boston College Football: Pinstripe Bowl Gameday Morning
By Joe Micik
Saturday is a bittersweet day for Boston College Eagles fans as it is Pinstripe Bowl gameday.
While the Eagles should be proud to have earned their spot here, it is the final game of the 2014 season, and it will be approximately eight months until we see another one. (The spring game is barely football, so it does not count.) Fans would do well to take it all in and enjoy the moment.
With any luck, the players themselves will get to celebrate following the game, but until that time, there is still much work to do. This is a key moment in the rebuilding of the program: last season, their bid for an eighth win was cut down by Arizona, but they have another chance in a contest of regional relevance. Not only would a win be a great feeling for the team, but potential recruiting benefits are also on the table.
In a few hours, we begin converging on the Bronx. A few hours from that, perhaps we win.

We lucked out. Logic dictates we should be freezing at this game, but these are some very manageable winter conditions. This is about as good as it gets in New York City in late December.
