Game 10: Boston College-USC Basketball Gameday
By Joe Micik
When USC football came to Boston College, it was big news. When USC basketball comes, it will be a chance for a fifth-straight win. Can the Eagles pull the sweep of the Trojans in Chestnut Hill?
Boston College Eagles
Finals break is over for the Eagles and Santa Claus is on his way in just a few days. Will he bring Boston College their seventh win of the season?
The opponent is a familiar one, as Boston College played USC in hoops last season as well. BC lost that game by 16 points out in Los Angeles, just as they got smoked in the football game there in September. Perhaps the Eagles are due to turn the tables on the Trojans, winning the football meeting and now the basketball meeting on their own campus.
USC has a winning record, but has not been great. Three of their four losses are questionable: Portland State, Akron, and Army. Just like the Eagles, they also beat New Mexico, but that is roughly where their quality wins end. The Trojans have played an unremarkable non-conference schedule and look like they will not be much more than a .500 team overall this season.
This is a winnable game for the Eagles, who have won six already, despite some inconsistent play during their last two victories over very bad America East opposition.
