Things to Do in New York City:
Arthur Avenue

Location: The Fordham neighborhood of the Bronx, west of the Bronx Zoo and about three miles from Yankee Stadium

Not far from Fordham University is the best Little Italy in town, Arthur Avenue. Being both a native New Yorker and Italian, I have indulged in their food choices many, many times.

They say man cannot live on bread alone, but you can last a good long while on some of the Italian bread you get there.

Otherwise, you have your pick of some great Italian restaurants and bakeries locally. Artuso and Terranova both do very well for themselves in the baked goods department, while I have been to Mario’s and the food was very good. If you can swing it at one of these places, get an authentic Italian ice as well.

This would be a great place to stop for lunch before heading over for the Pinstripe Bowl.

Other Worthy Destinations

• Statue of Liberty. Gotta get on a boat, but worth doing if you can get there.

• The Guggenheim Museum. Not be confused with the “Dudenheim Museum,” Coach Addazio.

• The Bronx Zoo. If you like animals.

• The Brooklyn Bridge. Just for the aura and mystique of being able to say you walked across it and then took a cab back to Manhattan.
