Granted, the opponent is minor, but this is an Eagles team which has not experienced a four-game win streak since near the end of the 2012-13 season. And, being completely honest, it’s better than a four-game losing streak.
Binghamton — boy, they’re bad. The Bearcats enter this game with a 1-10 record, having lost eight in a row. Notre Dame beat them by 43 in their season opener, Army beat them by 26, Cornell beat them by 14, Penn beat them by 12 — hell, some Division II school named Caldwell beat them by 11 for their first-ever win over a D-I school. They average just under 58 points per contest and they would appear to be dreadful in all elements of the game.
The Maine game had people a little concerned, seeing as how the Black Bears are a very bad team that the Eagles could not put away. Binghamton is even worse, so anything less than a 20-point win here might do similarly.
If this were a college football game, it would not only be lucky to be a noon kickoff on Saturday on ESPN3, it would be lucky to not somehow be slotted at 9am. There will not be a big crowd at Conte Forum for this one, but Soaring to Glory will be in the house with live updates and reaction.
