Boston College basketball most recently played in the Puerto Rico Tip-Off, winning their first game of the tournament against New Mexico, but falling in the latter two to West Virginia and Dayton. They have had some time off since then, and now look to corral their second home win of the season.
In fact, this is only their second home game, as the last four contests in which they have played were at neutral sites. (The Eagles will not play their first true road game until January 3 at Duke — how’s that for favorable scheduling.)
Marist College, out of the MAAC, may not be much of a test for the Eagles, but the reason Boston College scheduled them was to have a light, easily attainable win for this team at home; a cupcake, if you will. Not that the Eagles are tournament bound, anyway, but anything short of a win would be a devastating setback.
