ACC Football Week 14: And Then There’s This
Wake Forest scored 21 points against a Power 5 conference opponent for the first time all season against Duke. The problem is that they gave up 41.
All things considered, it was a respectable performance for the Wake offense, which came into the game as the second-worst offense in the nation. That does not count in the win column, however.
As for Duke, their stadium is about to get renovated, and it saw them out with a win. The Blue Devils win nine games again, but of course, will not be going to Charlotte thanks to their embarrassing loss last week.
ACC Football Week 14: Mediocrity Over Miami
Pitt found a way to go bowling this season despite staring a losing season in the face. With their win over the Hurricanes, both they and Miami are 6-6 on the season.
Does it even matter what happened here? To Pittsburgh it does, as they might now get a trip to Shreveport or St. Petersburg out of it, while Miami did themselves no favors with the fans by losing. In particular, Al Golden did himself no favors and is doubtlessly in the ill favor of the boosters and others. But hey, bowling.
