Boston College Sun Belt Football Schedule-A-Team: Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns

All-Time History With Boston College: None
Last Faced: Not applicable

Travel (if necessary): Maybe about three hours by plane out to Lafayette.

Mutual Interest Factor: Has not been any yet.

Intrigue Factor: See below.

The Verdict: Might schedule for a one-off at home, but ULL has a number of other potential suitors and as such this will not happen.

There is a certain amount of novelty value in playing a team called the Ragin’ Cajuns. Perhaps we will see them in a bowl game — hell, maybe even this year if Boston College is truly shafted — but when it comes to scheduling them, little or no chance either school would go for it.

Nov 1, 2014; College Station, TX, USA; Louisiana Monroe Warhawks defensive lineman Malcolm Edmond (98) makes the tackle on Texas A&M Aggies wide receiver Speedy Noil (2) during the second quarter at Kyle Field. Texas A&M Aggies won 21-16. Mandatory Credit: Ray Carlin-USA TODAY Sports

Boston College Sun Belt Football Schedule-A-Team: Louisiana-Monroe WarHawks

All-Time History With Boston College: None
Last Faced: Not applicable

Travel (if necessary): Probably about the same amount of time as it would take to get to Lafayette, plus or minus half an hour.

Mutual Interest Factor: Don’t think so.

Intrigue Factor: Meh.

The Verdict: Would only entertain a one-off, but for the same reasons as above for ULL, Monroe is not going to agree to such an arrangement, either.

ULM has options when it comes to getting beat in August or September football games against a Power 5 conference team. Most of them come from within the SEC, who are more than willing to pad their scheduled with such games. This does not make much sense for ULM or Boston College.
