Boston College MAC Football Schedule-A-Team: Ball State Cardinals

All-Time History With Boston College: 3 games (3-0-0)
Last Faced: 2005 (BC wins, 38-0)

Travel (if necessary): Maybe two hours by plane out to Indiana, if that.

Mutual Interest Factor: There was some in the recent past (the mid-2000s) but their paths have not crossed since.

Intrigue Factor: Not much for either school.

The Verdict: Could be persuaded to schedule home or away, but would tend towards a one-off at home.

Ball State has been down and as such they do not look like a very appealing team to play. They have had their moments, and Boston College has established some recent history with them, but unless you remember Will Blackmon’s kick return touchdown in 2004 (I do) then this probably will not mean much to you.

Boston College MAC Football Schedule-A-Team: Bowling Green Falcons

All-Time History With Boston College: 1 game (1-0-0)
Last Faced: 2007 (BC wins, 55-24)

Travel (if necessary): No more than two hours to somewhere in northwest Ohio.

Mutual Interest Factor: There was limited interest in the previous decade which resulted in a game, but none since.

Intrigue Factor: It would hold a little more in hockey, considering it was Jerry York’s former school; in football, none.

The Verdict: Might be willing to schedule a one-off.

Bowling Green crosses me as the kind of team Boston College could end up playing once in a long while. The Falcons are a schedule-filler sort of team for Boston College, and to Bowling Green, the Eagles are a check.

That is the rough extent of it.
