Boston College Conference USA Football Schedule-A-Team: Marshall Thundering Herd

All-Time History With Boston College: None
Last Faced: Not applicable

Travel (if necessary): Probably inside of two hours by plane to get to West Virginia. Out of bus range.

Mutual Interest Factor: Can’t be much, now can there?

Intrigue Factor: As perhaps the most well-known program in the conference, and a ranked team right now, maybe a bit.

The Verdict: One of the very few teams in this conference I would be open to scheduling home or away.

Given the longevity of both of these programs, I might have expected to see a random game against Marshall in 1958 or something, but nope. There are far worse options in C-USA to play.

Boston College Conference USA Football Schedule-A-Team: Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders

All-Time History With Boston College: None
Last Faced: Not applicable

Travel (if necessary): Two and a half to three hours out to Tennessee by plane.

Mutual Interest Factor: This assumes either program is aware of the other.

Intrigue Factor: Also assumes either program (or fanbase) is aware of the other.

The Verdict: Would only schedule at home, but there’s no reason why MTSU should.

Middle Tennessee can go to most any SEC stadium and be the annual ritual sacrifice for some top-five team like Alabama or Auburn. They could even go across the state and play the Vols and get more turnout. A trip to Boston for them is very, very unlikely, and maroon and gold in their stadium is unthinkable.
