ACC Football Week 11: Silver Anniversary

Florida State’s win streak has hit 25 games in a row as they defeated the Virginia Cavaliers on Saturday.

It was not an easy victory for the Seminoles, who saw Jameis Winston take a pounding and throw two more interceptions (cue the next point shaving exposé), while Greyson Lambert and his three touchdown passes helped keep Virginia close.

All things considered, the Virginia defense did a good job. They turned Florida State over three times in the game and kept them to 376 yards of offense. They helped make this a one-score game late in the fourth quarter, but the Seminoles got some late field goals and put it away.

Give Virginia credit for hanging in there, especially given the fact that they have been in a full-scale collapse as of late, but almost is not good enough. Yet, what to make of Florida State? We can go back and forth on this for a while as to whether it was a “good enough” performance, but they are 9-0, which is all anyone will ultimately remember.
