For the first time as conference foes — and, actually, the first time ever, Boston College and UConn will face each other on the ice rink of battle.

Old sports grudges die hard and these two schools do not exactly care deeply for one another, but this is hockey, not basketball, and we can exact sweet revenge by just beating them every year. Just because their head coach is Mike Cavanaugh, formerly a long time assistant under Jerry York, should not make victory any less vital.

More importantly, at stake are two Hockey East points as the Eagles look to bounce back from an overtime loss in Denver last weekend.
