Boston College at Wake Forest: 5 Big Questions — #4
Realistically, how many points will Boston College need to win this game?
About 25.
Considering that Wake Forest has not scored more than 24 points against anybody, and the Eagles defense has been up to the task for the most part, the Eagles will probably win if they are able to get into the mid-20s.
The Demon Deacons are not able to keep up if the game becomes a track meet, but what are the odds of that, anyway? Wake’s defense has not been that bad, and there have been times where the offense has not flowed as smoothly as it should for Boston College.
Still, the mid-20s is a good minimum threshold. The fact is, it might not even take the Eagles that many points. If it were, say, a 20-7 Boston College win, that would hardly be a surprise.
