Clemson vs. Boston College: 5 Big Questions — #4

In an interview with us over the summer, you said you were optimistic about the Clemson offense and Cole Stoudt in particular. A lot has happened since then, and Deshaun Watson had replaced him until he was injured. How confident are you in going back to Stoudt, and in the offense in general?

RTR: I’m less confident in Stoudt now than I was in the preseason but I think the offense should be alright with him starting again. Stoudt wasn’t great against Louisville this week but that was to be expected. Not only was he up against one of the top defenses in the country, he also didn’t practice during the week leading up to the game, thanks to a shoulder injury he sustained against NC State.

And, all things considered, Stoudt wasn’t really playing that poorly before Watson took over–Watson is just an incredible talent.
