Clemson Football: Can The Tigers Still Win the ACC?
(Rubbing the Rock, Kyle Smith)

A piece from our friends at the FanSided Clemson outfit, Rubbing the Rock. This might be able to put the game into some perspective for Boston College fans, in terms of how the opposition views this game.

With Florida State still a very good team but the Tigers beginning to surge again, Clemson is approaching this game with the mindset that they can still win the ACC championship. Losing to Boston College — in what even they would acknowledge is a lose-able game — would all but end those hopes.

A lot of this, however, is driven by Jameis Winston getting suspended, which is no guarantee. Still, every ACC game from here on in is going to be critical for the Tigers.

ACC Upset Watch: Week 8
(Andrea Adelson, ESPN)

In keeping with the above, being put on “upset alert” only underscores how important it is for Clemson to win, and for Boston College, it serves as inspiration that they just might have a shot.

What matters in reality is that which takes place on the field, but it’s still nice to read that the Eagles are not being written off in the game.
