ACC Football Week 7: Sieve Sieve Sieve
Give North Carolina at least a little bit of credit for covering the spread, only losing by seven when logic would dictate that they should have lost by a lot more.
In fact, UNC putting 43 points on the Notre Dame defense is nothing of which to be ashamed. The only thing of which to be ashamed is their defense.
Oh how I wish Boston College could have drawn the Tar Heels this year instead of last. The numbers were again ugly for UNC, who gave up 50 points for the third time in six games, and 519 more yards. Defensive coordinator Dan Disch’s seat is probably a tad warm, and by that I mean so hot it’s about to fuse hydrogen atoms.
ACC Football Week 7: And The Other Games
The only surprise here is that the Seminoles won by just 18 points. Does it look like Jameis cares about your silly investigations?
Meanwhile, you can bet Scott Shafer muttered something off-color in his press conference, probably about Ebola and dead swine.
One of the few defenses in the country on par with UNC in terms of its incomprehensible suckitude plays on the banks of the Ohio River. Not surprisingly, they could not keep up in their three-touchdown loss to Miami.
Granted, few were around to witness the spectacle in person, but Cincinnati’s defense has given up 146 points in their last three games — all losses, which should not surprise you. Miami needed the victory to get back on track, but next week’s game against Virginia Tech is a huge test.
