Top 5 Most Difficult Boston College Hockey Games:
1.) vs. Minnesota, November 28, 2014
Did anyone notice that what might be Boston College’s two most difficult games of the regular season will come over the span of two days?
That’s right: the Eagles host Minnesota one night, and then visit Providence the next. That will be an important stretch for this team early in the season to see what they have in the tank and what kind of year it might be.
When the #1 team in the nation comes to your rink, it’s a big deal, and given how the Eagles have not had much success against the Golden Gophers in recent years (in the regular season, anyway), this will be a very hard game to win.
Minnesota is a team much like Boston College: elite, perpetually loaded, and capable of winning a national championship on almost any given year. There are no real national title implications that come along with this game, being in November and outside the confines of the postseason, but Boston College can make a statement that they are the country’s best with a victory.
That win, of course, will take a strong effort.
